Avid Vines is thrilled to share the exciting news that our producer, Andre TIXIER & Fils, won two prestigious medals in the 2020 TEXSOM International Wine Awards.

Year after year, the TEXSOM IWA is considered the most selective wine competition in the United States by the Journal of Wine Economics due to the roster of international judges with broad experience.  This year, 61 judges came together to review 2,875 entries. Awards are based on category of beverage, place of origin, and type.

Here are the medals given to André TIXIER & Fils:

SILVER MEDAL for Non-Vintage Champagne:

BRONZE MEDAL for 2012 Champagne:

The judges recognized that our silver medalist, the Andre TIXIER & Fils, Premier Cru Carte Or, shows its flair with fine and discreet bubbles, aromas of toasted hazelnut, vanilla bean, strawberry shortcake, Meyer lemon acids, honeysuckle and rose petals. It parachutes into any situation, any pairing – the sky’s the limit – and sticks the landing!

The Andre TIXIER & Fils, Premier Cru Brut Millésime 2012, wins a bronze medal for its ability to capture lightning in a bottle. The 2012 vintage arrives on the palate pure, fresh, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, and a very, very long and complex finish. It’s a champagne drinker’s champagne, and once it’s gone, there’ll be no more of it.

We hope you’ll take advantage of the U.S. stamp of approval from these esteemed international judges and try our award-winning, certified sustainable bubbles. They come with #NoRegrets.
