Seek out ‘Once in a Lifetime’ experiences for the growth and impact they make on your goals and outlook on life. A few weeks ago I had the privilege of adding one to my list of experiences while leading 20+ Atlanta entrepreneurs to rediscover NYC with Broadway shows, lunch at the Harvard Club, rooftop lounges, and a walk on the floor of the NYSE – all of which to generate inspiration and spark Big Dreams.

Steps away from the NYSE, the women in our group received blow outs while the men pampered themselves with fresh shaves so that everyone felt their best. Across from the entrance to the Exchange, we happened upon the statue of the “Fearless Girl” while the artist and sculptor herself, Kristen Visbal, was being interviewed for an article in The New Yorker magazine.

The Fearless Girl, designed and created by Kristen Visbal, is a bronze sculpture installed on March 7, 2017 one day before International Women’s Day with the intention of promoting and celebrating female empowerment. Visbal noted that she believes Fearless Girl is an unofficial symbol for this movement. She started to ask our assembled group of entrepreneurs what the statue meant to us. Surprisingly, this conversation was partially memorialized in The New Yorker article.
