NV Andre Tixier and Fils Brut Rose Champagne
$98.00
Unbridled enjoyment this is. Sparkling frozé, this is not. Just look at this beauty in the bottle! The pale hues of other rosés, with their orange-ish tint – the ones not hiding behind a green glass bottle – look exhausted from their travels. This impossible color achievement comes from 100% Premier Cru Pinot. 80% of which is a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier pressed for its juice with as little skin contact as possible. The remaining 20% consists of the best Pinot Noir made – nearly opaque and delicious on its own – but blended to produce something greater than the sum of its parts.

Owner-Grower Tasting Notes
Brut Rose Premier Cru shows superbly, blossoming in the glass with an aromatic infusion of tea leaves, warm bread, and barely ripe raspberries with a trace of vanilla. On the palate, it's full-bodied and ample but incisive, with an enveloping core of pear, white peach, lime oil, pomegranate seeds, elderflower honey, lively acids and a long, chalky finish. Despite its intricate, vinous make-up, it's brilliantly focused. A wine that will begin your brunch and/or evening paired hand in hand with the entire meal. Start an unforgettable day paired with grilled breakfast tacos wrapped in charred corn tortillas and loaded with soft-scrambled eggs, grilled Spanish chorizo and all the fixings.
Dinner pairings include Bell & Evans rotisserie chicken with charred lemons and Picholine olives or tapenade. Pro pairing: schwarma bundled tightly in a pita with caramelized onions, pickles, and a garlicky yogurt sauce.
Make-Up
80% composed of equal parts Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier juice with no skin contact from the 2016 harvest. 20% is a fully vinified and barrel aged Pinot Noir from the best grapes of the vineyards of the same year, blended into the final product.
