OWNER-GROWER TASTING NOTES
Unbridled enjoyment this is. Sparkling frozé, this is not.
Just look at this beauty in the bottle! The pale hues of other rosés, with their orange-ish tint – the ones not hiding behind a green glass bottle – look exhausted from their travels. This impossible color achievement comes from 100% Premier Cru Pinot. 80% of which is a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier pressed for its juice with as little skin contact as possible. The remaining 20% consists of the best Pinot Noir made – nearly opaque and delicious on its own – but blended to produce something greater than the sum of its parts.
MAKE-UP
80% composed of equal parts Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier juice with no skin contact from the 2016 harvest. 20% is a fully vinified and barrel aged Pinot Noir from the best grapes of vineyards of the same year, blended into the final product.

OWNER-GROWER TASTING NOTES
Fortunately when your studio happens to be the chalky soils and pastoral hills of Chigny-les-Roses (south of Reims but North facing) and your parcels are classified as Premier Cru by the bubble authorities of Champagne, it’s easy to let the ingredients speak for themselves.
Add the ability for an owner grower like Julien Tixier to control his fate, farming sustainably with certification using organic methods from bud-break to bottle, and you get a result that’s the best balance of all the other spin off styles in the portfolio.
There’s no pretense or anything unusual. Here’s a champagne that’s consistent, like a good yoga practice, and authentic, reflective of the tight acids, buttered baguette, electrified lemons, preserves of berries over vanilla creme brulee, honey, and rose petals from its siblings – all together, all present, and in the kind flow you get in a room harmoniously expressing Ohm to close the practice.
Namaste.

OWNER-GROWER TASTING NOTES
Imagine a growing season and harvest in 2012 representing a new standard for what the best champagne circumstances are from bud-break to bottle.
2012 was a year to cherish and preserve as its own vintage. Rough weather at the beginning of the growing season tested the vines, but idyllic conditions settled in beginning mid-July and charmed the vines with light wind and strong sun to give everything they had to a young owner-grower winemaker, Julien TIXIER, experienced enough to understand how perfect the season was and talented enough to stay out of the way and let Mother Nature do its best.
This is one of the best examples of Mother Nature & Owner Grower collaborating organically to make Premier Cru Champagne. Preserving the nuances of this result is the reason why we import with refrigerated containers across the Atlantic. No juice-altering, 30 degree (F) swings in temperature under our watch.
MAKE-UP
Here’s what’s inside: 50% Chardonnay blended with 35% Pinot Noir, and 15% Pinot Meunier made entirely from the magical 2012 harvest.

OWNER-GROWER TASTING NOTES
You’d expect pleasing results from the chalky soils and pastoral hills of Chigny les Roses (south of Reims but North facing), parcels that are designated Premier Cru by Champagne’s bubble authorities.
But imagine a clap of thunder and this Blanc de Blanc, 100% Chardonnay riding the lightning as a result of the mythical conjurings of a young winemaker, Julien TIXIER, separating one generation from the other.
What I’m saying here is, thrust your Valerian steel blade into the Champagne sky and dare that dragon to rear it’s ugly head!

OWNER-GROWER TASTING NOTES
Champagne growers that hail from the chalky soils and pastoral hills of Chigny-les-Roses (south of Reims but North facing) are expected to produce smiles and head nods using the standard trio of Chardonnay (melody), Pinot Noir (harmony), and the workhorse Pinot Meunier (strut bass). That’s because their parcels are designated Premier Cru by Champagne’s bubble authorities.
What’s toe-tapping from the lyrical 4th generation Owner-Grower, Julien TIXIER, is the spotlight he gives to Pinot Meunier, followed by equal amounts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The result is a unique symphony of smooth sounds and round flavors like fresh peaches, plump apricots, hints of jasmine and rose petals – even strawberry shortcake.
MAKE-UP
